Idol White Review – The Shocking Truth About Idol White

So we’ve heard the hype, we’ve heard the Kardashians tell us that it’s the best thing since sliced bread – Let’s see if it passes the test in my personal, no nonsense Idol White review!

idol whiteAfter plenty of research on alternatives and having tried many teeth whitening kits in the past (Those annoying mouth tray thingys!), I decided to give Idol White a shot. I mean they were offering a risk free trial which made me think they must be supremely confident in their product to be able to make an offer like that. Not to mention the many positive reviews I heard online – I’m always skeptical so wanted to see for myself – Here are my results :

The ordering process was extremely simple. I filled out the quick form and I actually received my product in a matter of days.

When I saw the mail man I was pretty excited and got straight to work on tearing the package apart and checking out my new toy – It’s a tiny little thing. Almost underwhelming at first, you kinda think to yourself “is this little pen really going to give me a Hollywood smile?”. Anyway I started right there and then applying the pen to my teeth.

The first thing I noticed was the complete control I had over where the hydrogen peroxide teeth whitening gel went. Much, much better than the trays I’ve used in the past that irritated my gums beyond belief. This was because the gel would innevitably come into contact with my gums via the mouth tray. Very annoying.

No such problem with the Idol White teeth whitening pen luckily! It also took me a few minutes and then I could get on with my day! With the other teeth whitening kits I had to sit there for ages with a plastic tray in my mouth. A bit of an inconvenience really.

So with that said here is a short timeline of my results I created especially for this Idol White review :-

Week 1 of use : I started noticing a small change towards the end of the week. Maybe it was placebo effect and all in my mind but I would say I saw at least a shade of improvement in the whiteness of my teeth.

Week 2 of use : Much more promising! I do believe these results are now very real as I can’t be imaging this change of colour. Neither can all of my friends who have noticed and made compliments. They think I’ve had my teeth done ha! I would say my teeth are at least 2 shades whiter at this point.

Week 3 of use : The results are continuing the more I use this teeth whitening pen. I’m pretty surprised actually at how effective this thing is. Another shade of white achieved which takes me to around 3 shades whiter than when I started (I’m just guessing by the way, I haven’t actually compared but it’s a noticeable difference!)

Week 4 of use : I have actually slowed down the use of my Idol White Pen. I didn’t use it much the 4th week because I was quite happy with the whiteness my teeth have achieved. I don’t want to end up like Ross from the famous scene from Friends. I’ve just loved how easy this whole process was!

Overall Summary : Well, I’m shocked to be honest. Something so heavily marketed tends to rely on their big budget rather than delivering a good product but Idol White has certainly delivered to me. I don’t know if you’ll achieve the same results, I guess it depends what colour your teeth start with. But I can say I did finally reveal my secret to my friends who were pestering me and they both saw noticeable whitening of their teeth as well so this wasn’t just a lucky product for me.

Let me know how your results go! I want to hear some more success stories.

Idol White Pens Compared to Other Methods of Teeth Whitening

Do the Idol White teeth whitening pens work? How does it compare to the other methods of whitening teeth that are already out there?

I did the research for you and I also found out personally how effective it was compared to the other methods. (Well some methods I didn’t manage to try out)

You really only have a few proven methods of teeth whitening available to you. Let’s discuss these and see how Idol White compares to all.

Teeth Whitening Kits/Trays

This is probably the most common method of teeth whitening. It uses the also commonly used mild acid, Hydrogen Peroxide which is also the main ingredient in Idol White (as well as many others). This mild acid gently oxidizes the stains away from your teeth in a safe manner which leaves your teeth shades whiter with continued use. The amount of time the treatment needs to be applied depends on the strength of the solution.

You can use this method of teeth whitening at home or go to a cosmetic dentist. Cosmetic dentists tend to use the strongest solution of the acid to minimize your visits. Generally done in one or two visits, this can sometimes leave your teeth quite sensitive because of the strength of the solution. This is also a more expensive method. In home kits are more affordable but a lot messier and take a longer amount of time.

I personally got average results with teeth whitening kits and trays. I also got an uneven whiteness because some parts of the tray innevitably had more gel than others. Gum irritation was a constant problem for me too due to the gel getting on my gums when I bit down on the tray.

A fair option but I’d avoid it due to the mess and inconvenience. Going to a cosmetic dentist is an option but a far more expensive option costing several hundred dollars at a minimum per visit.

Teeth Whitening Lasers/Lights

Actually a similar process to the teeth whitening kits but done under the supervision of a cosmetic dentist. These lasers or UV lights will accelerate the process of teeth whitening when the teeth whitening gel is applied to your teeth.

Again this adds to the cost of the standard procedure so is not really recommended unless you have money to burn.

Teeth Whitening Veneers/Crowns

The ultimate in teeth whitening for most celebrities or anyone who just wasn’t gifted with very nice, white or straight teeth. This procedure is the most expensive running up to tens of thousands of dollars/pounds depending on how many teeth you get done and where you get it done.

It usually leaves the client with a perfect smile but they are never permanent lasting anywhere between 1 and 10 years. The maintenance of these teeth will cost the same again so you really need to be on A-list wages as well as having the A-list teeth for this procedure.

Not a great option as it’s expensive and not permanent.

What About Idol White then?

Well Idol White is a new breed of teeth whitening products called teeth whitening pens. They take away the mess of the tray that comes with the teeth whitening kits and take away the expense that comes with cosmetic dentistry whether it be with kits, lasers or veneers.

Having used the Idol White free trial and written my Idol White review here I think I’ve honestly found a good solution to teeth whitening. If you want to find out why, then please check out my no nonsense, honest review of this teeth whitening pen here.

Idol White Teeth Whitening Pens – A Gleaming Smile or a Scam?

When I first saw the Idol White teeth whitening pens advertised and saw Kim Kardashian endorsing them I just thought that the product would be another scam just getting by on a celebrity endorsement.

As you should know by now I’m a huge skeptic of everything and the first thing I thought was what is this Idol White scam??

This lead me to do some research on many things such as Idol White reviews, the ingredients contained in the pen and just plain and simply..Does it work?

The first thing I looked at was the ingredients listed in the Idol White teeth whitening pens. Surprisingly I found the main ingredient to be a proven teeth whitener. Hydrogen Peroxide. This is used by cosmetic dentists all over the world to effectively whiten teeth so I was impressed that this ingredient was included.

Now most teeth whitening kits only contain this ingredient as it is enough to show teeth whitening results in a number of weeks but Idol White had many more ingredients on the list.

Carbomer – This is another proven teeth whitening agent which has a bleach like effect on teeth. This works in conjunction with the Hydrogen Peroxide to give you maximum whiteness.

Sodium Hydrochloride – I was impressed with this addition because most competitors omit this from the ingredients. This pure white solution speeds up the whitening process of the pen and helps the other ingredients work much faster and effectively.

EDTA – Hadn’t heard of this one before but when I looked it up I found it to clear the teeth of toxins. Removing the teeth of these toxins allows the other whitening ingredients a blank canvas to start working on whitening the teeth and keeping them white. (These toxins make teeth yellow – Having them removed leaves teeth white!)

Peppermint Oil – A nice addition to keep your breath fresh after every usage. Kind of like a “cherry on top” ingredient.

So with all of these ingredients researched and explored, I feel confident in saying that there is certainly no such thing as an Idol White scam. In fact it sounds like one of the better teeth whitening products out there. (UPDATE : I have since actually tried the Idol White Free trial product and written an honest, no nonsense Idol White review that you may be interested in reading)

Overall, I’d recommend giving the Idol White teeth whitening pens a shot as the ingredients are proven tooth whiteners that have been used by cosmetic dentists for many years with excellent results.

Idol White – Scam or Legit Teeth Whitening?

So you’ve seen the whole Kim Kardashian endorsed, Idol White craze and if you’re anything like me celebrity endorsements don’t really mean anything to you. It’s the actual product I’m interested in and does this teeth whitening pen actually work to give me a whiter smile? Let’s take a look at whats behind the glitz and the glamour of this tooth whitener.

Well when I checked out the ingredients, I was at least pleasantly surprised that Idol White contains proven teeth whitening agents and also some extra ingredients that provide a safe and synergistic effect for faster tooth whitening.

The main ingredient is commonly used by cosmetic dentists for this process – Hydrogen peroxide. This very mild acid provides a proven cleaning effect by oxidizing stains that have accumulated on our teeth over time. It has been proven to be safe and has been used for many years by professionals forĀ  the process of teeth whitening.

Surprisingly, there is some substance behind all of the glitzy promotion which is a rarity these days. I normally find that the more something is hyped, the more that product has something to hide! However, Idol White seems to offer MORE whitening agents in their product than any other rival brands which I found impressive.

What else is in the Idol White Teeth Whitening Pen?

Peppermint – This is a bonus ingredient which I actually found really helpful. As a side benefit of using Idol White daily, the added peppermint inside the solution also freshens your breath for the rest of the day which is a nice addition the package.

EDTA – Now this is one ingredient you won’t find in many other teeth whitening pens. This was a new ingredient to me also and one that I had to do a bit of research on. I discovered that the ingredient in this pen gets rid of the toxins on the teeth that build up over time causing yellow teeth. EDTA removes these toxins from the teeth and let’s Idol White get to work on doing what it does best. Teeth whitening.

Carbomer – Which is another teeth whitening agent that works with the Hydrogen Peroxide to bleach your teeth a lot faster than either ingredient could on it’s own.

Sodium Hydrochloride – This ingredient is a catalyst for the other ingredients. While it doesn’t directly whiten your teeth, it speeds up the process of whitening that the other ingredients provide. A really cool addition!

So, looking at the Idol White teeth whitening pen, it looks like there might be some validity to the product after all! However, let’s not get too happy just yet as ingredients and statistics look and sound too good to be true.

We want to know if Idol White works in the real world. Well I did eventually decide to take the plunge myself and kept a log of my experience and wrote it down as a review for the benefit of my readers. I really hope it helps you. You can check out my honest, no nonsense review HERE.
